Whizzards of Oz Australia Cycling Challenge

Fighting Blindness invites you to take to two wheels and travel 700km around SE Australia including the spectacular scenery of The Great Ocean Road.
With ocean beaches on one side and bush settings on the other, your adventure will take in surfing paradises, charming coastal townships and the famous 12 Apostles landmark at Port Campbell National Park.
As well as some challenging cycling along the way, the trip includes time out in Melbourne and a few days to explore the magnificent sights of Sydney.
This exciting event is in association with the Paralympics Cycling Ireland and will include riders with visual impairments who will be on tandems with pilot cyclists.

Fighting Blindness will be with you every step of the way on your challenge. We provide all the support you'll need to reach your fundraising target, with ideas, marketing materials and advice. We also help you reach your training targets with training weekends and two briefing meetings so you can get to know your fellow adventurers.
Fighting Blindness asks that you raise €6,200 to pay for the cost of the trip (flights, accommodation, food, insurance, medical back-up, guides etc) and money to help fund our vital research into cures for blindness. Registration is €300.
