Training Tip

Use Google Maps Pedometer to mark and track your route for training. You can calculate the distance traveled, calories burned and the topography of your route. You may surprise yourself at how much distance you already cover during the day!

1. Go to http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

2. Enter your starting location (ie: High Street, Dublin, Ireland)

3. Click the 'Start Recording' Button on the left panel and set up your tracking preferences

4. Double click on your starting point, then double click on each new point along the route (ie: where the route turns) If you make a mistake, click 'Undo Last Point'

5. Save and print the map to take with you on your run/walk or upload it to a GPS device
