Study Group Invitation for Usher Patients and Families
Attention all Fighting Blindness members with Usher syndrome, you are invited to attend an Usher Study Group in Denmark this September.
Usher Study Group
September 27-28, 2010
Hotel Hvide Hus, Aalborg, Denmark
The 13th Usher Study Group will take place just before the Acquired Deafblindness Network conference, which will also be based at the Hotel Hvide Hus.
It starts at 12 noon on Monday, September 27 with a Danish buffet and finishes by 5pm on Tuesday, September 28.
We have an exciting programme that covers medical and psychiatric issues, communication, living with Usher, Usher families, and talks from Usher people themselves. There will also be plenty of opportunities to socialise, including a meal together at the Hotel Hvide Hus on Monday evening.
We have two well known and respected speakers from the medical field, Professor Bill Kimberling from Boys Town National Research Hospital, Omaha, USA and Professor Claes Möller from the Swedish Institute for Disability Research, Orebro, Sweden.
We have a mixture of plenaries and workshops and a variety of topics. The Usher Study Group is of interest to professionals, people with Usher and their friends and families – in fact, anyone who is interested in Usher syndrome.
We look forward to welcoming you!
