Dr. Paul Boskind

Our Retina International World Congress (RIWC24) takes place from the 5th – 8th June 2024 in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, in the heart of Dublin city centre.

Our Scientific Committee has been working relentlessly to secure an impressive lineup of outstanding speakers to shed light on this research area so as part of our Meet the Speaker series, we are delighted to announce one more distinguished speaker.

Dr. Paul Boskind is a successful psychologist and entrepreneur who has established a nationwide behavioural health practice across the USA; including psychology, counsellors, social workers, psychiatry, and nurse practitioners. He is also a Tony Award-winning Broadway theatre producer.

Paul was diagnosed with an inherited retinal disorder, Stargardt Disease, at the age of 21. This prognosis was his motivation toward completing his education and striving for financial success.

Paul has seen a significant decline in his vision, creating much emotional distress and adjustment problems. He has a definitive approach for coping with loss and grief, which stems from his experience as a psychologist in treating patients and his willingness to embrace the sadness and struggles with going blind. His is a story of hope and determination, a proven approach that anyone can use to improve their life situation.

We are delighted to have Dr. Paul Boskind with us at the Retina International World Congress to present on Saturday, June 8, 10:20 AM – 10:40 AM about Mental Health and Vision Loss.

Stay tuned for more updates as we draw closer to this incredible gathering of the latest scientific research and innovation, set to take place in June 2024!
