We are very fortunate in Ireland to have a rich talent pool of emerging leaders in the area of vision loss. To celebrate International Women’s Day 2020, Fighting Blindness is hosting a breakfast event celebrating trailblazing women working across science, research and innovation.

Our theme, ‘From bench to boardroom, and beyond’, explores the different career paths our speakers have embarked upon and their on-going efforts to promote and facilitate research and innovation in Ireland.

Join us to hear from our panel of accomplished female leaders –

The event will be chaired by Priscilla Lynch, Clinical Editor at the Medical Independent.

We will also use the opportunity to launch our inaugural Young Female Researcher Bursary – a €1000 career development award for a promising young female researcher. Applications for the Bursary are open and the 2020 recipient will be announced at the event.

The Young Female Researcher Bursary 2020 is proudly supported by its4women.ie.

Registration and breakfast will start at 8.30am and the panel discussion will begin at 9am. Tickets are free but places are limited. The event is open to everyone, not just women!

Book your ticket on Eventbrite.

We would like to extand a huge thank you to AIB for providing the event space and breakfast free of charge.
