Mr. Franz Badura

Our Retina International World Congress (RIWC24) takes place from the 5th – 8th June 2024 in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, in the heart of Dublin city centre.

Our Scientific Committee has been working relentlessly to secure an impressive lineup of outstanding speakers to shed light on this research area so as part of our Meet the Speaker series, we are delighted to announce one more distinguished speaker.

Mr. Franz Badura, is the Chair of the Board of Directors at the organisation Retina International.

We are delighted to have Mr. Franz Badura with us at the Retina International World Congress opening the day Friday, June 7: Targeting the cure; the future of vision research, at 8:30 AM – 8:45 AM.

Mr. Franz Badura, is the Chair of the Board of Directors at the organisation Retina International. Franz has a long-standing career as a patient advocate and leader. He has served for more than 30 years in different positions in Pro Retina Germany, the German patient organization and the Pro Retina Foundation, promoting retinal research since 1996. He has held the chair of Pro Retina Germany from 2012 until 2020. He has initiated and along with a scientific committee, organized the Potsdam meeting, an internationally renowned research colloquium, since 2005. Franz is also a professional musician.
