In order to advocate effectively for our members and for the entire vision impaired community, we must first investigate what matters most to the people we represent. This requires the collection of evidence, both qualitative and quantitative, that is representative of people in different demographics, geographical locations, socioeconomic groups etc. The National Survey will collect this important information and better enable us to build projects around knowledge and understanding of the issues that affect people who are blind and vision impaired in Ireland.
Through the development of a fully mobile-accessible website, interactive forum and info portal we will address the need for information and support, especially for people following a difficult diagnosis.
On behalf of everyone here at Fighting Blindness and community we serve, we extend our warmest thanks to the AIF team for making these two important projects possible.
