An appeal to our supporters

March 30, 2020

Friends,

People living with sight loss navigate their entire lives through touch, now they don’t even have that.

As Covid-19 spreads throughout the country, our everyday lives have changed unimaginably.

Fighting Blindness is the primary source of specialised counselling support for people living with sight loss in Ireland, as well as their families and carers. We’re seeing an increased demand for our help. Right now, we need your help more than ever.

Our dedicated team is rapidly adapting to the crisis. In the past week, we transitioned to telephone based counselling. We moved all our support groups to online options that will enable people to connect and interact.

Our team will continue to work hard but when it comes to fundraising, there is only so much we can do from the kitchen table.

We are so grateful for your support to date. If you are in the position to do so now, please consider making a donation through our website.

Every donation, small or big, will help us keep our doors open and continue to support people living with sight loss in Ireland.

I wish you and your loved ones the best of health. Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Together, we can – and will – defeat coronavirus.
