Is your partner living with sight loss? content
We recognise that partners and spouses are often faced with particular challenges in supporting their loved ones who are living with sight loss. You may have feelings of sadness, anger or anxiety relating to your situation and this can affect you and your family on a regular basis.
During these times, many people find it useful to talk through their feelings with someone outside their usual circle of family and friends, and often by meeting with others who have faced similar difficulties, vital support can be found.
Insight Counselling is proposing a pilot peer support group for spouses/partners of those affected by sight loss. This will run for 12 weeks from Tuesday October 29th. The group will be run by a skilled and experienced facilitator.
- Dates: October 29, November 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec 3, 10, 17, January 7, 14, 21, and 29
- Time: Tuesdays from 11am to 1pm
- Venue: Fighting Blindness, Ely Place, Dublin 2
If you think this may be of interest to you or to your partner/spouse, please contact us on 01 674 6496 or email Emer at email@example.com
We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the group and it will also give us the chance to get a sense of your support needs, what kind of support you feel would be helpful, could you commit to the 12 dates etc. Please note that this is not formal Group Therapy.
