Pre-Budget Submission 2018

Fighting Blindness drafted a pre-budget submission for consideration by the government in the upcoming budget. Our recommendations are as follows:

• Increased funding for medical research into eye conditions.
• Implementation of the Primary Care Eye Services Review Group Report 2017.
• Core funding to expand the In-Sight counselling service.
• Funding for a national inter-agency helpline and information hub.
• Core funding for the appointment of a genetic counsellor.
• Introduction of a VAT compensation scheme for charities
