Our Scientific Committee has been working relentlessly to secure an impressive lineup of outstanding speakers for RIWC24. As part of our Meet the Speaker series, we are delighted to introduce another esteemed speaker for our Retina International World Congress (RIWC24), William Woof, PhD.
William Woof is a Computer Scientist working as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London (UCL).
He currently works on Eye2Gene with Dr. Nikolas Pontikos, an NIHR-funded project which is aimed at applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to retinal imaging to assist with the diagnosis of Inherited Retinal Degenerations (IRDs).
William is also an IRD patient himself, having been diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) in 2011.
We are delighted to have William Woof with us at the RIWC24 to present his work on AI on our Public and Patient Engagement Day, Saturday, June 8, 2024!
