Working Age Forum

March 29, 2021

A new Working Age Forum (WAF) has been established for professionals living with sight loss in Ireland to meet, network, organise and learn from each other.

This new member-led network, which initially will meet online during the COVID-19 pandemic, will serve to connect people who are blind and visually impaired with each other to offer and benefit from peer support. Regardless of what stage of employment you are in – whether finding your first job, already working, looking to rejoin the workforce after some time out, or retired – you are welcome to join our sessions which are free of charge.

Their first meeting will be held on Tuesday March 30 from 6-7pm. We will discuss how the world of employment for professionals who are blind and partially sighted has been affected both positively and negatively by the COVID-19 pandemic and hear from some guest speakers about alternative job and career paths.

You can register for the meeting via this Google Form and they will send you details on how to join the meeting.

This Forum is established and operated independently of Fighting Blindness.
